Reno & Rome
Signed November 2021
UK four-piece power-pop outfit Reno & Rome ride the line between anthemic indie-rock and swaggering 80s pop. Flaunting stereo-chopped guitars, driving beats & infectious vocal hooks wrapped up in an energetic and unforgettable live show. I was first introduced to the band in 2019 when they applied to play at my ‘545’ night at The Apex and ever since I saw them play live for the first time, I was hooked. They’re regulars on the NMG radio show playlist and I look forward to working with them on consolidating their presence across East Anglia because their live show really needs to be seen to be believed.
Since signing the band have performed at venues across East Anglia including home town Ipswich (Cult Cafe, Ipswich Fireworks Display 2022), Cambridge (The Portland Arms, Sixsix, Strawberry Fair), Norwich (Voodoo Daddy’s Showroom), Colchester (Three Wise Monkeys), Bishop’s Stortford (The Half Moon), Hertford (Corn Exchange) and Bury St Edmunds (The Apex, The Hunter Club). Live highlights include performing to 10,000 people at the 2022 Festival Too in King’s Lynn and supporting rising star Ellie Dixon at Cambridge Junction. Festival appearances in 2022 included Bardfest, Strawberry Fair, Ipswich Music Day and B Natural Festival.
The band released 6 singles in 2022 (Jealous, Something Special, You’ve Got A Voice, Ride The Wave, Miracle, Life Has Gone & Passed Us By) which have all received well over 30,000 streams each on Spotify. Miracle and Ride The Wave were selected to feature in two episodes of E4 reality TV show Made In Chelsea which were broadcast in December 2022.
In 2023 the band performed live in London at Signature Brew and headlined in Norwich for the first time. The band played their first gig in Manchester in May and supported Craig Charles in Ipswich in July. Their single Live Without You broke the 100,000 stream barrier within 4 months of release and their second single Need Somebody was released in April 2023.
